I’m so excited to team up with you to pull off something that’s going to be absolutely incredible.

The Childless Collective Summit is a 4-day virtual event on March 18-21, 2021 that will help those in our childless community find support, healing, and connection.


On this page, you’ll find all kinds of resources meant to make your role as a speaker as easy as possible and answer any questions you might have. If you run into a question I didn’t answer, email me at katy@chasingcreation.org.

The Basics

Let’s do a quick rundown of how the whole thing will work.

 

 

The event will run from March 18-21, 2021 with 5-6 pre-recorded presentations running each day. These presentations will include 30-45 minutes of content, a worksheet that follows along with or complements the presentation, and a live chat. In addition to the pre-recorded presentations, we’ll also offer one live session per night, like a happy hour or Q&A session.

 

 

While the presentations themselves are pre-recorded, all speakers are asked to attend their presentation time live to interact with attendees in the chatbox. There is no video component to the chat, so get comfy! To create additional opportunities for engagement, there will be a Mighty Networks group for attendees to hang out in, talk about the sessions, and ask us additional questions. If attendees have good questions while your presentation is going on, you’ll have the option to do a live follow up in the Mighty Networks group for a bit of an encore to answer those questions, connect with the attendees, and provide even more value.

 

 

Leading up to the summit, we’ll have four weeks of promotion. You’ll be provided with email swipe copy, social media swipe copy, and social media graphics to make it all easy! I’ll even have a suggested posting/sending schedule for you to make promo easy.

 

 

During the promotion phase, as the summit is running, and after the summit is complete, we’ll also be promoting two options for All Access Passes. The passes include options for the session recordings and additional bonuses we’ll all throw in. This will provide immense value to our attendees, while making the work of promoting and creating a presentation worthwhile by allowing you to bring in affiliate commissions.

What I'll Need from You

So this all sounds great, but what kind of work does it require of you? You’ll find all the details below. My goal is to make this all as easy as humanly possible so we can all have a blast while providing support and connection to the childless community.

 
1. BASIC INFORMATION

The first thing I’ll need is some very basic information from you so I can finish up our registration page and speakers page. Use this form to send your basic info to me by November 6.

This information includes things like:

  • Name
  • Title
  • Bio
  • Headshot

Once you confirm that you’re in, I’ll send you a link where you can upload all this information easily.

 
2. PRESENTATION SLOT SCHEDULED

The next thing I’ll need is for you to schedule your presentation slot. Each day has a theme so please select the day that best fits with the content of your presentation.


  • March 18: Sharing Our Stories (examples: different paths to childlessness, knowing when to stop ttc, the power of narrative, statistics and demographics of the community, etc.)
  • March 19: Finding Healing (examples: navigating a pronatalist society, forgiving your body, self-compassion, grief, triggers, infertility and PTSD, building resiliency, managing invasive questions, reconnecting w/ sexuality, etc.)
  • March 20: Making Connections (examples: friendships, finding new community, redefining family, ideas for more inclusive faith communities, etc.)
  • March 21: Looking Ahead (examples: perks of a life w/out kids, celebrating our accomplishments, finding meaning, identity, what we create/nurture, aging, creating a plan b, legacy, finding interests/hobbies, creating new traditions, etc.)

Click here to see the list of times that are available and to schedule yours. Slots are first-come first-served so if you have a tight schedule be sure to grab your spot right away.

While your presentation will be pre-recorded, you’ll still be required to be in the chat live during your time slot to answer questions and connect with attendees.

 
3. PRESENTATION

Next up is your presentation! This is a 30 – 45 minute pre-recorded presentation that is meant to be more friendly and casual than perfect and structured. We want our attendees to learn something great, while having fun in the process.

Please structure your content in a way that allows attendees to walk away feeling like they’ve really learned something they can apply to their life post-summit.

With that being said, you have your choice of the following presentation formats:

  • Slides
  • No slides
  • A workshop
  • Interview-style
  • Panel discussion

If you’d like to go with the interview style presentation, let me know and we can schedule a time to record the interview. We’ll work together to come up with questions. Also, if you have a great idea for a panel, let me know and I can help you coordinate with other speakers.

All presentations will be exclusive to the Childless Collective Summit for one year, to promote the Extended Access Pass sales. After the one year period, you are free to use your presentation however you’d like in the future.

Your presentation should include great, actionable content. Here’s the suggested format (this may vary depending on the format you select):

  • A quick introduction
  • An overview of your topic
  • Teaching section
  • Specific action steps
  • Up to a 3-minute pitch (if you offer a product or services)
  • Conclusion

Include questions for attendees to answer in the chat box throughout to boost engagement.

If you’d like to brainstorm topics or format together, let me know, I’m happy to co-create with you.

Presentations are due by January 15, 2021.

 
4. WORKSHEET

Along with each presentation will be a worksheet. There are a few reasons behind this:

  • They encourage people to take action, which increases value
  • It’s an easy way for viewers to take notes
  • We’ll be able to capture the email addresses of people interested in your topic, which you’ll receive after the event is over.

The content of the worksheet should follow along with your presentation and encourage attendees to take action. You are more than welcome to include links and a call-to-action at the end.

Like I said, this process is meant to be as easy as possible so you have a couple options. You can either:

  • Create the worksheet yourself, using your own branding. With this option, you’re free to reuse it in the future however you’d like.
  • Write out your worksheet contents and send it to me to be put into the summit’s worksheet template.
  • Have me take care of it all.

Your worksheet will be due along with your presentation on January 15, 2021

 
4. EXTENDED ALL-ACCESS PASS CONTRIBUTION

The Extended All-Access Pass will be a huge addition to the presentations we’re running. To make it even more valuable, I’ll ask each of you to provide one resource to add. This includes things like:

  • eBooks
  • Workbooks
  • Courses (big or small)
  • 1-month memberships
  • Freebies
  • Workshop

It’s totally up to you to decide whether you’d like to create something new or provide something you already have. While this isn’t required, it’s highly encouraged that you participate. As a reminder, you will receive 50% of any Extended Access Pass that is purchased through your affiliate link. The more robust the bonus offers are, the more value we will provide to summit attendees, and the easier it will be to sell Extended Access Passes. 

Information for these resources is due on December 15, 2020. You’ll receive a questionnaire to fill out closer to that time to make passing the information to me nice and simple.

 
5. PROMOTION

The power of an online summit comes from a community coming together for a single cause. The joint promotion that happens because of that is a huge benefit to everyone involved.

Because of that, everyone is encouraged (but not required) to share on social media and to email their lists during the promotion period, starting on February 15, 2021.

You’ll want to share using your affiliate link so you can get in on the 50% commission that will come from any Extended Access Pass sales.

6. LIVE PARTICIPATION

And last comes participation during the week of the event. Since we’ll already have done the work of creating the presentations and extra resources, we’ll be able to sit back and relax for the most part!

All I ask is that you participate in the chat during your presentation slot and interact in the Mighty Networks group throughout the week to help attendees stay excited and engaged.

In addition to your presentation, if you are interested in participating in a live Q&A or Happy Hour during the Summit, let me know!

While you are not required to attend the events of other speakers, it’s highly encouraged! We’ll be able to get some great discussions going about the topics being presented.

Affiliate Details

While summits are great for overall visibility and making new connections, a little extra income never hurts either, right?


That’s exactly why I’ve set up an affiliate program for the Extended Access Passes where you’ll receive a commission from all sales from traffic you refer to the event. Payouts will be made on a monthly basis starting April 1, 2021.


Here’s how it works. All attendees can register and access all of the summit presentations for free during the event. Each day’s presentations will be available for 24 hours from when they are made available to attendees. If attendees would like access to any of the presentations after that window or to the bonus content, they have the option to purchase an Extended Access Pass.


As an affiliate, you will receive a unique link to promote the Childless Collective Summit and the Extended Access Passes. Using a program that tracks affiliate links, I will be able to see if someone visits the registration page, registers, or purchases an Extended Access Pass using your unique link. 


Since we are a close community with an overlap of networks, I am also offering a 60 day, first referral lock in. This means that if someone doesn’t purchase an Extended Access Pass the first time it’s offered, but they decide to purchase one within that 60 day time period, the commission will go to the affiliate whose link was used the first time the purchaser visited the summit website. 


As a speaker affiliate, you will receive a 50% commission on all Extended Access Pass sales purchased through your unique affiliate link (or when the purchaser’s first visit to the website is traced to your affiliate link).


The pricing structure will be as follows: 

$47 for the Extended Basic Access Pass

$87 for the Extended All Access Pass


To make it as easy as possible for you to generate extra income, the Resource Vault includes things like email swipe copy, social media copy, and social share graphics. However, you’re more than welcome to write your own copy and even run your own Facebook ads.

As with all affiliate promotions, be sure to disclose that you’re an affiliate when sharing with your audience.
